Echo Trails and Colliding Lines on Cambridge 105
Andy Hosker of Echo Trails and Wesley Freeman-Smith of SHINDIG had a brilliant time on Dave Hammond’s show Smelly Flowerpot earlier this week. The show describes itself as playing “new, old and unreleased music from the edge of the mainstream and beyond,” and it was exactly that; a whole show full of amazing artists neither of us had heard of before.
For our part we had opportunity to share some Echo Trails tracks – ‘Human’, ‘Exhausted’ and ‘All About The Cloudless Skies’ – and play some live recordings from some of our favourite shows of the past year. These included work by Milly Hirst, an extract from an improvisation between Gaze is Ghost and Derek Yau, and a track from two-piece Foam – all of which are available to download from our online store.
We start talking about 30 minutes in, but please do take the time to listen & check out some of the other artists featured.
Echo Trails play The Portland Arms in Cambridge on May 7th.
