Chronic Poetics is an anthology which gives voices to those who suffer from chronic illnesses and pain, featuring a combination of poetry, essays, photographs, illustration and design, Chronic Poetics explores what it means to live with a chronic condition and what we wish people knew about living with these conditions.
The pieces will be presented as part of a visual narrative exploring themes of disability, inspired and grounded in the experiences of selected artists.
The role of graphic design is crucial in constructing and communicating healthcare messages around the world, and has the ability to persuade, inform and empower. This collaboration of artistic practice aims to change perceptions and to allow the shared conditions of embodiment to emerge from the text. It’s space exclusively for disabled writers to share their experiences.
