Interchangeable
Colliding Lines invites you to take part in Interchangeable, an ‘Exquisite Corpse’ style project between artists of different mediums.
As part of an ongoing collaboration, creative work will be passed from one artist to the next. Each artist will be responding to a preceding piece – with no context apart from what they see or hear. These responses can be written, audio, digital or hand illustration, video, dance – any creative response. Whatever the work is, it needs to be able to be sent to us (for example, a film of a dance, or a scan of a drawing). And it needs to be kept a secret, to preserve the integrity of the experiment.
The deadline for creative response is 1 week, after which your work will be sent to the next person. This process will “loop” 3 times; you will receive 3 pieces to respond to in total.
This project aims to be part of a regular publication series, so we will need permission to publish your work.
If you would like to take part in this project, please let us know by emailing submissions@collidinglines.com, along with your name and a link to your work. If you are selected, we will add you to a list of interested parties, and be in touch with further instruction.
