Making Waves
Cambridge Contemporary Dance prepare new show ‘Making Waves’, a dance expeditition across Cambridge city inspired by the imagery, physicality and sounds of the Antartica.
The performance is part of Homeward Bound, a global initiative creating a collaborative network in science – aiming to heighten the leadership capabilities of women and enhance their influence on policy and decision making around sustainability. Through movement, Cambridge Contemporary Dance wish to explore how the motifs of ice, water and waves can consider leadership as a fluid and flexible quality.
Cambridge Contemporary Dance member Hannah Laeverenz Schlogelhofer will be joining the largest female expedition to Antartica in February. Attendance of the performance is free, but the group wish to highlight Hannah’s fundraising page here should you wish to support the project.
